
Rory Todd is a researcher at Rethink Priorities. Before joining Rethink Priorities, he was a research associate at the Center for Global Development, where he conducted research and supported convenings for the Global Education team. His work included a focus on lead poisoning, including its impact on learning levels globally, methods for detecting lead in the body and environment, and the trade in lead-based pigments. Other work included research on gender bias in school textbooks, education aid architecture, approaches for estimating disease burden, and the impacts of early marriage. Previously, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Manchester, studying the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on economic hardship in the UK.
Rory holds an MSc in Social Research Methods and Statistics from the University of Manchester, and a BA in History from Durham University.
