Kieran Keohane

Kieran leads a team focused on executing 1-2 major research ideas designed to have a large positive impact as advanced AI systems develop. He has a background spanning consultancy, government, and regulation. Most recently, he led a large team at the UK Financial Conduct Authority focused on strategic analysis, econometrics, and behavioral science informing UK financial regulation. He also served as Head of Emerging Technology Analysis at the Government Office for Science, where he built an analytical team from scratch. That team’s work was commended by the Government Chief Scientific Adviser and strongly informed strategy set by the UK Prime Minister.
